My Mission

Meet Selena Polgardy, “Glam By Selena.”

Selena is a gifted makeup and paramedical artist whose journey is as inspiring as her artistry. Living with being on the spectrum, she openly embraces her quirks as part of her identity—reminding others to respect and value those differences rather than see them as limitations.

Her story is one of resilience. After surviving bullying and eating disorders, she turned her struggles into a source of strength. Today, she advocates for body positivity, skin cancer awareness, and animal welfare while using her platform to challenge stigma and promote kindness.

Through her nonprofit Giving Their Glam Back Inc., Selena donates services such as paramedical tattooing, scar camouflage, wound healing/care, glam classes, and care packages. She also helps individuals and pets recovering from trauma, offering confidence, dignity, and healing through her art.

Selena’s work is deeply personal—she knows the power of transformation because she’s lived it. By blending creativity with compassion, she uplifts people and animals alike, proving that beauty, healing, and acceptance go hand in hand.

Purpose

Our nonprofit exists to uplift lives-both human and animal-through compassion, care, and community support. We provide paramedical services, beauty care, and meaningful gifts to individuals facing hardship, with the goal of restoring self-esteem, confidence, and dignity in those who need it most. At the heart of our mission is also a deep commitment to animal welfare. We raise funds to sponsor injured, abandoned, or vulnerable animals by partnering with reputable shelters, fosters, and animal nonprofits, helping cover the costs of their medical care, recovery, and adoption. By supporting their journey to healing and a forever home, we advocate for the value of every life—whether two-legged or four.

Through kindness and collaboration, we bring hope, healing, and transformation to people and animals alike—proving that love, care, and compassion can change everything.

🐾 Paws & People Project

Selena also founded the Paws & People Project, a compassionate extension of her nonprofit. This initiative supports people and pets experiencing homelessness, neglect, and hurt. It focuses on wound care and wellness services today, with a vision of expanding to provide pet-inclusive transitional housing and job readiness programs in the near future.

The project’s mission is simple yet powerful: “A safe place for healing, housing, and hope — together.”

By keeping people and their beloved pets united through crisis and recovery, the project helps restore dignity, stability, and confidence.

Selena’s dedication to her craft and her unwavering commitment to helping others make her a beacon of hope and inspiration. Her nonprofits are a testament to the remarkable capacity of individuals to rise above adversity and use their talents to foster positive change.
